Lavender: Fine lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), also known as "true" or "officinal" lavender, is the noblest species of lavender and the most appreciated by perfumers and aromatherapists. It grows naturally at altitudes of 700 to 800 meters. Robust, it withstands the climatic constraints of Provence's dry mountains. One hectare of fine lavender yields 15 to 20 kg of essential oil, naturally rich in biologically active substances. Lavender essential oil is soothing for the skin and nervous system, and can be used by the whole family.
