Kérapil by Noreva is an anti-roughness dermatological regulating care that limits the appearance of ingrown hairs caused by dry, damaged skin. The stratum corneum, the upper envelope of the epidermis, is made up of dead, deformed skin that eventually peels and falls off. This desquamation is aided by the cellular renewal process of the lower layers, which push off the dead skin and replace it. In the case of dry, dehydrated skin, this regeneration process is less insistent, and unpeeled skin accumulates, thickening the stratum corneum. More difficult to pierce, this layer encourages ingrown hairs that grow backwards. The areas of the body most prone to ingrown hairs are those with the most hair, such as the face for men, the bikini line and the legs. Subjected to frequent or at least recurrent shaving, these areas also dry out more quickly under razor or depilatory heat.
Noreva's Kerapil dermo-regulating care relies on ammonium lactate, a combination of lactic acid and ammonium hydroxide, to intensely rehydrate the dermis and stimulate the regeneration process. Combined with glycerine, another moisturizing agent, it perfectly penetrates the skin to restore its moisture content and improve the texture of the epidermis and stratum corneum, which regain their suppleness.
