What is valerian?

Valerian is a 1 to 1.5-metre-high herbaceous perennial plant native to Europe and Asia. It is found in shady, damp locations. The white or pink flowers give rise to a fruit, an achene topped with feathery bristles. The whole plant gives off a characteristic odor that attracts cats.

What are the benefits of valerian?

The root contributes to optimal relaxation, supporting mental well-being in cases of tension and stress. Valerian has a calming effect. It helps induce sleep. This plant helps maintain good cognitive function.

Where does the valerian in Phytobiane come from?

We have selected valerian grown in France, in the Maine-et-Loire region, and certified organic.

The roots are harvested after 1 to 2 years of growth, so that they are sufficiently loaded with active ingredients. Our valerian extract is then produced in France. We apply a specific extraction process to each plant to extract the PiLeJe Phyto-Signature Complex (PSCC), guaranteeing its biological activity.
