Weleda Purifying Cleansing Gel with Organic Willow 100 ml is a gel dedicated to skin with imperfections. It purifies the skin thanks to its formula based on willow extract with purifying virtues. It deeply cleanses the skin. It diminishes pimples and blackheads, reduces excess sebum, redness and shine, and soothes the skin without drying it out. Weleda's Purifying Cleansing Gel acts deep down to effectively cleanse blemished skin.
This type of skin is marked by blackheads and red spots. This is due to excessive sebum production. Sebum is the lipid substance produced by the sebaceous glands. It forms the hydrolipidic film that protects the skin and prevents dehydration. But when too much sebum is secreted, skin becomes oily. It becomes shiny, and its pores dilate. This is the origin of the unsightly imperfections that appear on the skin.
Weleda's cleansing and purifying gel is formulated to eliminate these imperfections. It contains gentle surfactants that cleanse the skin without irritating it. It contains willow bark extract, which soothes the skin, and witch hazel, which has an astringent effect, tightening the skin's pores. Licorice root extract is reputed to lighten skin tone. Finally, tocopherol has an anti-oxidant effect.
