Earwax is the waxy substance naturally released by the body to trap foreign bodies and bacteria that could infect the ear. It also has a cleansing action. However, when it accumulates and is poorly evacuated, it can form an earwax plug that needs to be removed. This can lead to hearing loss and tinnitus.
To dissolve earwax, Audispray Ultra is formulated with sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate, an active ingredient that breaks down earwax. It also contains ethoxydiglycol, which dissolves the molecules that make up earwax. As such, it can be used to treat earwax or facilitate its removal by a doctor.
